Cannibalism

Well, I am not really a cannibal, but who could resist just eating this up? Aren't those rosy cheeks the most delicious thing you have ever seen?

Creative Discovery Museum

Last month we took Klara to a birthday party at the Creative Discovery Museum. We were able to drop Zach off with my parents at the camp ground so that I would not have to tote around his little chubby cuteness! Klara had a fantastic time playing. She was pretty scared at first, but after we played in the grocery section she really warmed up and had a great time!

Playing in the water with Jeremiah
blowing bubbles with daddy

picking veggies with daddy (why am I always the camera person?)

This was quite confusing for Klara!

Yay! I finally made it into a picture!

Color Me Happy

I recently bought Klara some watercolor paints. She LOVES them! I was afraid that she would get the paint everywhere, but she did very well. She did end up painting her face, her babydoll's hand, and got some on her table, but that is pretty acceptable for a two year old!

Purple blush is quite flattering!

Zach was just chillin' in the background.

my little Picaso!

The individual paint still look pretty in these pictures! They all looked brown by the end of the painting session!

We invited some friends over to paint, but I think playing was more on their minds!

Melt-in-your-mouth Yumminess!

I think this might actually be my first blog that is not about my children! WOW!

My sister called me this morning and told me about this delicious candy that a lady at her church in Memphis had let her try. She said it just melted in her mouth, and it was made from......drum roll please........POTATOES!!!!!! It is called potato candy. You may have heard of it, but I never have. So out of curiousity I just had to try it. My sister tried to make it too, but she unfortunately is not as good at cooking as I am (just kidding Karrie!). I am glad she tried to make it first because she discovered what did not work and called me to give me some hints. Anyways, it was so easy to make! You boil a SMALL potato (Karrie used a large one). After it is boiled, you mash it. Then you add about a pound of powdered sugar to it. It should be hard enough to roll into a ball (if not, then keep adding powdered sugar). I divided my ball of dough into three different balls so that it would not be so large. Then roll out the ball of dough and spread peanut butter on top. The last step is to roll it up like a jelly roll or burrito and stick it into the fridge. Cut it into small slices after it hardens. It is so yummy!

Hunting Eggs

Klara had a great time this year hunting Easter eggs with her friends!
Sharing the fun with Jeremiah!

Look at those eyelashes!

Klara just stole an egg from Jeremiah....I can just imagine what he was thinking from his facial expresssion!
This just makes me laugh!
Let's go!
Finding eggs with Sadie

They were more interested in running on the top of the hill.

My Two Year Old Tutu Girl

Klara is a crazy little girl sometimes! The other day we went outside armed with bubbles and sidewalk chalk, and all she wanted to do was run from one side of our garage to the other. She also insisted on wearing her tutu almost all day long.

Moses

Last night Klara and I read about baby Moses from her really cute little toddler Bible. I guess I have not read that story since I had my babies. It had a completely new meaning to me. I don't know how Moses' mother did it. How in world did she put her little baby in a basket and watch him float away in the water!!???? I mean, I would have been having seizures, strokes, heart attacks, and vomiting from crying so hard if I had to watch Klara or Zach float down a river not knowing if I would ever see them again or if they would live.

I can't imagine putting this precious face....
or this precious face in a basket and seeing them float down a river.

It struck me how incredible Moses' mother's faith in God must have been to trust that He would take care of Moses once she let him go. Of course in the end it all turned out fine, but how was she to know that? Some days I start thinking of all the things that could possibly go wrong and how my babies could get hurt, but I have to stop and think that if God took care of Moses who was probably floating down a crocodile and malaria infested river, then he will take care of my babies too. I know God does not want me to put my babies in a basket and send them downstream (please, God?), but He does want me to trust their lives to Him on this road of life they travel. May God grant me more faith and trust.
